Youth Theater Collective Programs
At YTC, every student belongs. Our programs are designed to meet students where they are, offering pathways in performance, technical theater, and ensemble community. Together, all three programs make up the YTC Ensemble.
-
Company
Lead and featured performers in Unwritten, our Broadway revue showcase. Company students receive advanced training in acting, voice, and movement while rehearsing solos, duets, small groups, and ensemble numbers. They gain experience in audition technique, stage presence, and collaborative performance, preparing them for high school, community, and pre-professional opportunities.
Tuition: $695 (includes $150 deposit)
-
Players
Our youngest performers, featured in Unwritten as part of the Broadway revue. Players build confidence, creativity, and ensemble awareness while developing foundational skills in singing, movement, and storytelling. They gain early experience working alongside older students in a supportive, multi-age environment.
Tuition: $395 (includes $150 deposit)
-
Stagecraft
Behind-the-scenes artists who bring the world of Unwritten to life. StageCraft students and families collaborate on sets, props, costumes, and technical design, gaining practical skills in theater production, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. They also join Ensemble gatherings when the full Collective comes together, seeing their work integrated into live performance.
Tuition: $395 + $100 kit fee (includes $150 deposit)
At YTC, every student is part of the Ensemble. Our three programs work side by side to create theater together — onstage, backstage, and in community.
YTC Company
Who: Middle and high school performers, featured in lead and supporting roles throughout Unwritten.
What: Company is the advanced performance program where students work on solos, duets, and featured ensemble numbers within the revue. Each Company member is cast into specific songs and scenes, and rehearsals are organized in pods based on those groupings. For example, students working on the same Broadway number rehearse together as a pod, while other pods rehearse their material at the same time. This allows focused coaching while ensuring every piece of Unwritten is built efficiently.
When: Rehearsals begin , at Carla Madison Recreation Center. We rehearse Saturdays 1:30-3:30 and Sundays 1:00-3:00.
How: Registration only. Auditions are held during the first week of rehearsal as guided practice to help place performers into numbers.
Why: Company members refine their skills in acting, voice, and choreography while also gaining experience in song-specific rehearsal pods, ensemble collaboration, and performance readiness.
Commitment: Regular attendance, preparation outside of rehearsal, and active participation in both your assigned pods and the company.
YTC Players
Who: Our youngest performers, building foundational skills while participating in Unwritten, the Broadway revue showcase.
What: Players are featured in ensemble pods and age-appropriate showcase pods within Unwritten. They perform in group numbers designed to match their developmental level and confidence, while also appearing alongside Company in select larger ensemble pieces. Pods are built around the actual numbers of the show, so Players rehearse directly with the castmates they will perform with.
Coming Winter Session 2026
StageCraft
Who: Behind-the-scenes artists who bring Unwritten to life through design, building, and technical theater.
What: StageCraft participants work in design pods based on the production needs of Unwritten. Pods may include props, costumes, set pieces, or technical elements (sound, lighting). These pods run parallel to rehearsal pods for Company and Players, ensuring production elements are created in sync with the numbers being staged.
When: Rehearsals and workshops begin October 2025, at Carla Madison Recreation Center. StageCraft meets for weekly Sunday pods and also joins Ensemble sessions when the full Collective gathers to integrate design with performance.
How: Registration only. No audition required. StageCraft students and families are assigned to pods based on their interests (props, sets, costumes, tech).
Why: StageCraft participants gain hands-on theater production experience while working in direct collaboration with the cast. They learn teamwork, creative problem-solving, and the satisfaction of seeing their work become part of the live performance.
Commitment: Regular attendance, timely completion of assigned build projects, teamwork within design pods, and active participation in Ensemble gatherings.
